Mika Reynolds’ legal expertise and practice encompasses tax, public finance, and trust and estate planning.
From tax-exempt organizations, including colleges, cultural institutions and family foundations, Reynolds is a trusted advisor. She has obtained tax-exempt status and IRS rulings for numerous clients and provides practical guidance on a wide range of issues these organizations encounter, from day-to-day questions about grant making, filing requirements, unrelated business tax issues, and charitable giving to highly sensitive matters involving conflicts of interest, corporate governance and executive compensation. Reynolds also served as borrower’s counsel and bond counsel in connection with tax-exempt and taxable financings.
Mika has expertly guided individuals and families through preparation of wills, creation of revocable and irrevocable trusts, gift, estate and generation-skipping tax analysis and charitable planning.
Prior to law school, Mika was a senior litigation paralegal for a preeminent international law firm. In that time, she managed large document productions in civil and criminal actions, arbitrations, and regulatory investigations.
